Spider-Man(2002)

1During the filming of the firstSpider-Man (2002), 4 Spidey costumes were stolen from the film sets in LA.A reward of $25,000 was kept for anyone who could recover them.

2The scene inSpider-ManwherePeter catches Mary Jane and the contents of her lunch tray in the cafeteria took a total of 15 takes to record. No CGI was used.

3Before the release, Hugh Jackman was in talks with producers ofSpider-Manto make a cameo appearance as Wolverine in the film. However, that couldn’t happen.

9The Vulture was in talks to appear inSpider-Man 3and Ben Kingsley was even appointed the role. However, producer Avi Arad requested to have Venom as the main antagonist of the film.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

11Sally Field who plays Aunt May in this franchise revealed in an interview that she took up the roleas a favor to her friend Laura Ziskin, a producer who died from breast cancer soon after the movie was finished.

12Director Marc Webb revealed in a Time interview that Stan Lee insisted on adding lines in his silent cameo appearance in the film. Apparently, Stan Lee wanted to say, “Oh, Dostoevsky. He’s like the Russian Stan Lee.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

13The Green Goblin costume that Dan Dehan wore in this film didn’t have much ventilation. This resulted in extensive sweating due to which Dan lost7 pounds in just two days of filming.

14To shoot one of the scenes of this film at New York Times Square, director Marc Webb revealed thatthey spent three nights filming in the real location, then built their own version in Long Island. A lot of VFX work had to be done.

21Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned in the franchise was taken aback when Alfred Molina asked him for an autographed photo. Initially, Batalon thought Molina playing a prank on him but it turned out that Molina’s stepdaughter is a big fan of him.
