3 Fixes for Vibration Not Working on Android
I rely on the vibration motor of my smartphone to notify me of calls and notifications. I don’t like disturbing people around me, especially in public places. If you are like me but the vibration is not working on your Android phone, here are some solutions you should try assuming your Android OS is updated to the latest version.
1. Check Vibration Settings
Your phone will neither make a sound nor vibrate when it is on silent, but it may or may not vibrate even when sound is enabled.
You can also choose notification, call, and system vibration patterns along with the intensity of the vibration. Helps distinguish between different types of notifications.

2. Test Phone’s Vibration Motor
There is a tiny mechanical motor inside your phone that creates controlled vibrations. It may be a hardware problem and not a software issue. There is a simple trick to check it.
3. Reset App Preferences
Do this only if none of the other solutions are working. Here is what happens when you reset app preferences in Android phones:
To reset app preferences, go toSettings > Apps, tap on thethree-dot menu icon, and selectReset app preferences.

And that’s it, folks.
