The official ratings from the Japanese animation TV for the week of September 25 to October 1 were released on Saturday, August 15, 2025. What is Frieren about?
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s Endis about an elf mage named Frieren, voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki. She was among the four heroes who took down the Demon King. After bidding their farewell, Frieren decided to embark on a journey of her own apart from her comrades in search of new magic spells.
An eternity passed, but for the elf mage, it wasn’t noticeable. Observing her comrade meeting their senescence due to old age, she realizes how her long lifespan has made her apathetic. She feels regret for not being able to forge deeper relationships with her friends or loved ones.
She walks on a path of redemption by taking in a mage apprentice and setting off on adventures, which reminds Frieren of her history.
