Recruit and Spare all Darkners in Deltarune Chapter 2 to unlock a health bonus and a secret ending cutscene.
In addition to populating the Castle Town, recruited enemies play a key role in Deltarune Chapter 2. For each enemy that you recruit, a 5 HP bonus is added to the mech used in the GIGAQueenbattle. Recruiting all possible Darkners will thus give you the maximum health bonus possible. You will also unlock an additional dialogue and cutscene at the end of the chapter.
List of Recruits for Deltarune Chapter 2
There are a total of 10 Darkners you can recruit in Deltarune Chapter 2. Each Darkner type is recruited when it is spared enough times. You can check the total recruited enemies in the chapter at the save points. Check a save point to see which Darkners you haven’t recruited and focus on finding and sparing them.
Here is a list of all the recruitable Darkners in Deltarune Chapter 2, with the number of them you need to Spare written in parentheses:
Whenever you encounter any of the Darkners listed above, do not defeat them by attacking. This will cause them to become “Lost” and unrecruitable, even if they have been recruited already. Instead, use Kris’ ACT options or Ralsei’s Pacify spell to Spare them.
