Season 4 has seen shotguns rise in popularity thanks to a class-wide buff with the highly mobile Bryson 890 now being a great pick for those for a top-tier close-range weapon. This is our recommended loadout to use with the Bryson 890 in Warzone 2.
The Bryson 890 is a pump action shotgun based on the real-world Mossberg 590M. It is effectively aBryson 800that reloads using magazines rather than being a traditional tube-fed shotgun like its cousin.
It also offers superior mobility than any other shotgun in the category making it an excellent choice for more aggressiveWarzone 2players. Being able to run into a building, down an enemy in two shots, and quickly escape is not something many other guns can do.
Despite its strengths the Bryson 890 can struggle if you don’t build it correctly, so you’ll want to be using this loadout to get the most of it in Warzone 2.

First and foremost it’s important to optimize the Bryson 890’s two-shot kill potential. To make the 890 even more consistent we use the21.5″ Bryson Tacfirebarrel to increase Damage Range and theBryson Chokemuzzle to tighten Pellet Spread.
To avoid the 890 becoming too slow and clunky we recommend using theVLK LZR 7mWlaser which greatly improves Aim Down Sights speed. However, be aware that this laser is highly visible when aimed and will give away your position if used carelessly.
Since the 890’s specialty is its mobility it’s best to make the most of it by using theDemo Dropzone Pump. This Guard attachment increases Sprint Speed and Hip Walking Speed letting you play faster and more aggressively.
Finally, theStockless Pistol Gripis an excellent attachment that offers sizable boosts to ADS speed, Sprint to Fire Speed, and even Movement Speed. The only downside to this attachment is an increase in recoil but that’s negligible due to the 890’s slow fire rate.

PartneringOverkillwithDouble Timemakes a lot of sense when using such a mobile primary. Overkill lets you run a versatile secondary like an assault rifle of choice to cover the Bryson 890’s weaknesses. Meanwhile, Double Time will help you get around faster and close the gap on enemies.
As for the Bonus Perk,Spotteris a great way to keep safe from any hidden tricky Claymores or Proximity Mines. It’s an ideal Perk to use when you’re most likely going to be running around constantly pushing buildings.
With how prevalent UAVs are in Warzone 2 it’s never a bad idea to useGhost. Not only does Ghost keep you off enemy UAVs, but it also provides immunity to Heartbeat Sensors which have seen more playtime since they were buffed in Season 2.
Lastly, we recommend usingFrag GrenadesandStun Grenadesfor your lethal and tactical. Both will allow you to easily storm a room by both damaging and confusing them before cleaning up with the Bryson 890.
