One of the most significant pieces of 1960’s pop-culture films that all the boomers will remember is thePlanet of The Apesseries that had taken over cinemas worldwide. The influence of that movie series would reach far and wide, even after all the years since the first movie was released in 1968 when it’s still considered one of the best science fiction movies to be made. And thus, when 20th Century Fox decided to reboot the franchise again, vintage fans were delighted to relive it with modern CGI.
And after Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Studios, talks about a potential franchise reboot started to make rounds, which were nothing more than rumors, during that time. But recently, the writers of the original reboot movie revealed that the next trilogy of the franchise is already underway, which will show Caeser’s sacrifice leaving a legacy behind that the next films will build upon, making people speculate whether the story will lead to the original series’ end.
The Next Planet Of The Apes Trilogy May Reimagine The End Of The Original Film!
The reboot of the original franchise brings back the magic of the past with the wonders of modern CGI, direction procedure as well as camera technology. Fans, old and new alike were drawn to live the events ofPlanet of The Apesin the modern day. 20th Century Fox decided to bring back the franchise with the first trilogy starting fromRise of The Planet of The Apesin 2011 and ending withWar of The Planet of The Apesin 2017. After that, there was no news about further movies of the franchise, which was pushed further into doubt by Disney’s acquisition of the company.
But with recent news from the upcoming sequel trilogy writer Rick Jaffa, along with co-writer Amanda Silver, it has been confirmed that the next movie afterWar of The Planet of The Apeswill be completing its production process in a couple of weeks. The next film, titledKingdom of The Planet of The Apes, will focus on the expansion of the franchise after Caeser’s heroic sacrifice for his kind and will provide a deeper dive into the future. In an interview withFilmSpeak, the writers said:

“Caesar created something and left a legacy. So then the questions are: what happens with that? What becomes of his legacy?
Along with this, Jaffa also added that he was in favor of connecting the end of this trilogy to the end of the original film, but isn’t quite sure yet whether he and Silver would do it just yet. He said:

“Do we want to rush toward an ending [the beginning of the original Planet of the Apes], or do we want to find an interesting story to tell with interesting characters,”
The end of the originalPlanet of The Apesis still considered one of the best in the industry, where George Taylor realizes that he has been on the planet earth all along, that now looks desolate with the broken Statue of Liberty.

What To Expect From Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes?
With Disney releasing the first look at the upcoming film, fans are excited to see where the story takes them next. After the events of the last movie, we may be welcomed to the new world created by the Apes, where it will be detailed how they survived the Humans after Ceaser’s death. And when we focus on the title, people might make out the possibility of a successful Ape kingdom that focuses on the primates rather than their conflicts with humans.
