James Gunn addresses Zachary Levi’s controversy
Even though theShazamstar Zachary Levi has fallen into a pit of controversy, the DCU head James Gunn doesn’t seem to be bothered by the actor’s viewpoints. In an interview with theHollywood Reporter, the director was asked about Zachary Levi’s recent comments against the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, known for its COVID-19 vaccine, which has led many to believe that the actor shares anti-vaccine views.
In response, James Gunn shared that he will not be concerning himself over his colleague’s opinions and isn’t going to recast and rewrite the entire story because of someone sharing a different perspective. But the director agreed that if someone’s action is found to be morally reprehensible, then they will take that into account. Gunn went on to state,

“I can’t be changing my plans all the time because an actor says something that I don’t agree with. At the same token, if someone is doing something morally reprehensible, that’s a different story. And we have to take that into account.”
Although the reasoning behind James Gunn’s motives to keep theShazamactor onboard seems reasonable. But the fans, which have been in a state of despair since the cancellation ofSnyderverseand removal of Henry Cavill, now demand Zachary Levi quit his role in DCU.
