How To Obtain Climbing Tools in Deltarune Chapter 4
To get the Climbing Tools, you must defeat theJackenstein boss, which is a part of the main story. Since the climbing tools open up other areas within the level, you should find Jackenstein as soon as possible.
As you begin Deltarune Chapter 4, you will notice several sections of walls with protruding bricks creating a vertical trail. Remember these wall locations, as you’re able to return and explore them for hidden enemies and items once you unlock climbing tools.
Once you reachOld Man Gerson’s studyafter entering the Dark World, the climbing tools are within your reach. From the study, head through the upper left door to enter theNorthwest Library section. There, play the piano to maneuver a bookshelf into place to your left, creating a bridge to the doorway ahead. Through the Deltarune door ahead, you will encounter a piano with a closed door to its right.
The piano puzzle requires you to find two music sheets on either side of the Deltarune door’s corridor. You can play the following sequence on the piano to open the door:

To use climbing tools, approach a climbable wall or climbable bookshelf and press the confirm and upward movement button. Once you start climbing, you can maneuver in any direction the climbable bricks extend toward. You can also jump across gaps by holding the confirm button (Z on PC) along with a directional button.
