When it comes to first-hand information and instant reviews about films that are released in Hollywood, Rotten Tomatoes is the site that is most popular with fans around the world. As the leading online aggregator and compiler of movie and TV reviews from critics, the site is a comprehensive guide for audiences to gauge a film’s success at the box office. With its unique rating system of a red tomato indicating a positive review and a green splat indicating a negative review, the site has a huge following.

While some critics claim that it oversimplifies reviews, certain sections of fans have been critical of their rating system, making their relationship a love-hate one. Such sites should not be allowed for at least a month to post any critic or audience scores. People should get the chance to watch a movie and formulate their own opinions rather than being influenced by statistics.
