The release ofFinal Fantasy 7 RebirthDeluxe Edition was announced alongside the base game and collector’s edition at the recent PlayStation ‘State of Play’ stream.
Set for release on the 29th of February next year,Rebirthis the second of three installments that Square Enix has carved the reimagining of the popular classicFinal Fantasy 7into.
If You Want a Big Ol’ Sephiroth, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Deluxe Edition Will Disappoint
PlayStation 5 Exclusive:FinalFantasy 7 Rebirthwill launch with two editions of additional digital and physical goodies above the base game for $99.99.Final Fantasy 7 RebirthDeluxe Edition will include an Art Book, a ‘mini’ Soundtrack, and a reversible Steelbook copy of the game. But one thing missing from the deluxe edition that everyone wants in their hands is a 19-inch Sephiroth.
That honor is restricted to those who purchase the far more expensive ($359.99) Collectors Edition. The slightly over-a-foot-and-a-half statue has a detachable wing and is also bundled with a few in-game items that will come in the form of a redeemable code and be sent by email.

The release trailer for the remastered Square Enix classic RPG was shown as part of the PlayStation “State of Play” presentation, a live-streamed showcase of upcoming titles coming to the console.Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’srelease date was announced alongside other highly anticipated games such asMarvel’s Spiderman 2andAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora,as well as more unusual titles such asBaby Steps.
While Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is releasing on the 29th of February 2024 as a PS5 exclusive, it’s likely that Square Enix will follow their usual pattern of releasing a PC port further down the line, but there has been no announcement when that will happen just yet.If you want to check out the new trailer, you can see it here.
Along with the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Deluxe Edition, the game also has an Edition that Comes with its Predecessor
In addition toFinal Fantasy 7 RebirthDeluxe Edition and theSquare Enix StoreExclusive Collectors Edition (featuring big Sephiroth). A bundle pack ofRebirthalongside the 2010 release ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remakeis available for pre-order now.
This is great for those of us who haven’t picked up part 1 of the planned trilogy yet, especially since the twin pack is the same price as the standardFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth,effectively giving players part one for free. the perfect way to spend the few months between now and the release ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

It’s safe to assume that the fairly priceyFinal Fantasy 7 RebirthDeluxe Edition and even swankier Collector’s Edition of the game will do well in sales. The much lovedFinal Fantasyfranchise has been around long enough for those of us who were introduced toFinal Fantasy 7to be all grown up by now and, as a result, have “adult money”.
The phrase that implies fiscal responsibility, but in this case refers to the impulsive urge to buy large statues of video game villains that will likely be acted on by a great number of people.
