Charlie Cox’s portrayal of Daredevil is immensely loved by Marvel fans as the actor has become synonymous with the character for portraying the role with great detail. Cox played the role for the first time in 2015 inDaredevil,the show was a massive hit not only among the viewers but also among the critics. As a result, the actor returned to reprise his role again inMCU’sDaredevil: Born Again.
Eventually, Charlie Cox became inseparable from his character, as is with the case of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine or Chris Evans’ Captain America. Recently, Cox was present at the Wales Comic Con, where he shared his dream of sharing the screen with the Armoured Avenger. However, there’s one problem that’s hindering his dream to become a reality.

Charlie Cox Wants To Team Up With Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man
Even thoughCharlie Coxhas been outstanding in the portrayal of The Man Without Fear, the franchise had been canceled once. However, when the Marvel Cinematic Universe realized that Cox’s portrayal as Matt Murdock was immensely loved by the fans, they decided to bring him back. Ever since he returned he has already appeared inSpider-Man: No Way HomeandShe-Hulk.
Recently, theKing of Thievesactor was present at theWales Comic Con, where he shared that he has one on-screen dream of how he would love to team up with one of the Avengers, referencing one of the Marvel comics.
“I was actually catching up on some of the comicsrecently,and I was reading one from 2020 where Daredevil and Iron Man have a bit of a run-in together, which is quite fun.”
However, the actor added the idea was“very cool,”but it is not feasible anymore as Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark/ Iron Man died inAvengers: Endgame.
“I was thinking that would be very cool. I don’t think that’s possible now, because he’s dead, isn’t he? But you know, it’s Marvel, who knows. For a personal reason, I think that would be cool to have that little moment.”
While Charlie Cox has acknowledged the bitter fact that Robert Downey Jr.’s character is dead and will not return, the MCU fans still ardently believe how the actor will return to reprise his iconic role.

MCU Fans Believe Iron Man Will Return In The MCU
Despite introducing so many new superheroes and villains in the MCU, none of them could come close to matching the charisma and stardom ofRobert Downey Jr.Ever since he made his debut in the franchise in 2008 withIron Man,he laid out the foundation of the MCU that we know and love today. However, after he parted ways with the franchise in 2019, MCU is facing difficulties in matching their past success.
As a result, a rumor started circulating that executives at Marvel had proposed the idea of bringing back the character and the Multiverse Saga might make it possible. While the rumor is not confirmed by Kevin Feige, fans ardently believe that RDJ might return, as they share their views on X about the actor’s possible return inSecret Warsas a variant.

Although it will be intriguing to see Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU that too in his iconic role, teaming up with Daredevil would be like the cherry on top of the cake. However, the actor’s return has not been confirmed yet, so fans must for an official announcement to rejoice.
