In order to reach the perfect physique forMission: Impossible III,Simon Peggreached out to expert PT Nick Lower. While talking about his experience with Pegg to GQ Magazine, Lower stumbled upon the topic ofTom Cruise. He opened up about how there is no“bulls*it”when it comes to the superstar and that despite such strenuous work, he still remains in top condition.

Lower then mentioned something about a special chest-press machine that might have something to do with why Cruise does not look his age, at all.
“There is no bulls*it. He does his own stunts. He’s in top condition all the time. I do know that he uses this very expensive, high-end machine that instead of just being a normal chest press machine, for example, it works you on your eccentric load, pushing you back. So instead of doing a set of 10, you could do a set of five and you’ve done just as much work.”

The expert PT applauds Cruise’s approach to fitness and lifestyle stating that whatever he is doing, is certainly working in his favour. Lower said,“Whatever he’s doing, it works. You meet him in the flesh and he looks 10 years younger.”Well, we certainly are not arguing with that. Being 61 and riding a bike off a cliff is not everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, not many could pull that off even in their twenties or thirties!

Praising theTop Gun: Maverickactor, Lower stated that he met Cruise at Pegg’s 50thbirthday party where he left him in awe. Lower even recalled how impressed Cruise was by Pegg’s improved physique.
“Tom trains religiously, and he obviously eats very well. He’s a completely stand-up guy. When he’s talking to you, he’s engaged and only talking to you. He said to me ‘You keep Simon in good shape’ because one of Simon’s nicknames had been ‘Six Pack Pegg.’ I think Tom was impressed with Simon, because sometimes they would workout together and Simon would keep up.”
Lower continued that Cruise has the kind of personality that easily rubs off on those around him, motivating them to do their best. He stated,“When you’re working with someone like Tom, it rubs off on you. You want to be fit, you want to be healthy. You want to do your stunts.”He went on to call it absolutely“inspiring.”We couldn’t agree more!
