Anthony Mackie is all set to reprise our beloved superhero, Captain America, but with a twist. Mackie has recently revealed that his upcoming film’s protagonist significantly differs from Chris Evans’s Captain America. According to the actor, the major difference between both characters is in their style of dealing with situations.
With a twist in the tale, Mackie’s upcoming film is a guarantee to the audience that it will serve them a fresh story. Moreover, Mackie has assured the fans that the arrival of a new character doesn’t mean the previous one has ended.
Anthony Mackie brings a new Captain America
Captain America is a household name for every Marvel fan. Chris Evans’s portrayal of Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, was well acclaimed by the audience.
The highly anticipated Marvel film is all set to have a blast with its comeback but with a twist. This time, the audience will not just get to witness a new face as Captain America, but the superhero will also see a major change in its characteristics.
As previously announced by the OG Captain America, Chris Evans, his tenure in the MCU as Steve Rogers has been completed, and now the new Captain America will beAnthony Mackie.
With the star-spangled shield and mantle, Mackie is now responsible for carrying forward the legacy of Captain America. However, there is a vast difference between Chris Evans’ Captain America and the new Captain America.

Recently, during an interview, Mackie revealed that Marvel fans will get to witness a completely new Captain America now that Sam Wilson has taken over the position. Mackie said,
“It’s more so about [Sam’s] ability to connect and counsel. He’s not as rash to bear arms as Steve Rogers was. Having a super serum makes you impossible to beat, so your answer to everything is to fight it out. Whereas Sam Wilson can actually die pretty easily.”
The lack of superpowers in Wilson makes him different from Rogers, as according to Mackie, the new Captain America is more generous than Steve Rogers, and his strength lies in his empathy towards people.Referring to his character, Mackie explained,
“I think with [Sam], he has to come to the stage with a very different understanding of what it is to be a good guy or be a bad guy and what are the decisions that make you toe that line in the way that you did.”
Although not much has been revealed by the makers of the film, the audience can expect a major twist in the upcomingCaptain America: Brave New World.

What’s in store for the upcoming Captain America 4
Marvel ended the story of one of the strongest superheroes, Steve Rogers (Captain America) character, as he retired and passed on his duties to his friend Sam Willson, who is now the new Captain America. The fourth installment of the film,Captain America: Brave New World,will feature Anthony Mackie as the lead protagonist.
As yet, nothing much has been revealed about the movie; however, to fans’ surprise, during a recent interview, Mackie stated that Rogers is still alive, as he never died. He said,
“I didn’t see him die! I don’t know; I saw Chris [Evans] two weeks ago, and he looked pretty good.”
Captain America: Brave New Worldis scheduled to hit theaters on June 12, 2025.
