Reportedly, WB was eyeing to bring the film to the big screen for almost a decade. This film would be the adaptation of the 1964 TV series of the same name. Since early 2000, WB was trying to get permission to make this film happen but was unable to acquire the rights. They believed this could become the next big thing for the company. Thus, they brought inThe Witcherstar to become the face of the project.
This film would eventually take queues from James Bond films and would incorporate Cavill in the suave secret agent role working for the CIA along with Armie Hammer as the KGB operative Illya Kuryakin. The film, just like the era of the cold war it was set in, was filled to the brim with action sequences and fight scenes that would leave any action lover satisfied. But despite all the efforts that were put into the film, it didn’t manage to make an impact, with only $23 Million in profits.
Still, the film is regarded as one of the best action films in the world asRolling Stoneplaces the spy adventure flick as the 50th best action film of all time.

While his previous endeavor in the secret agent role might’ve failed to make an impact with the audience. people are excited to learn that he still has the potential to make a comeback as another spy in the industry. With the departure of Daniel Craig as Agent 007 from the franchise, people are rooting forBatman Vs. Supermanstar to take the mantle of the MI6 superspy in the future. Thus, there’s a chance we’ll see Cavill take on the role of James Bond, one of the most popular spies in the world.
