Horizon: Call of the Mountain gameplay shown in PSVR 2 debut
Guerilla Games has revealed the first gameplay trailer for the PSVR2 title Horizon: Call of the Mountain during the June 2 State of Play.
Following a successful launch forHorizon Forbidden West in March, developer Guerilla Games revealed the first gameplay of the next project set in the Horizon universe — the PSVR2 exclusiveHorizon: Call of the Mountain.
Shown as part of the June 2State of Playpresentation, the game stars a new protagonist, Carja Ryas.

It appears the game will showcasePSVR2’s new hand-tracking functionality, with footage showing the player pushing foliage aside and climbing ladders and other structures. It also showcased combat, with Carja clearly quite handy with a bow. He’ll need to be, too, since it looks like Horizon’s robot dinosaurs are just as terrifying as they’ve ever been.
According to the game’sPlayStation Store page, “you will also meet Aloy, other familiar faces, and new characters along the way”.
While no release date was revealed during the presentation, Horizon fans can also look forward to some big updates to Horizon Forbidden West later today. The game’s latest patch will add New Game Plus, an additional difficulty setting, and the option to respec Aloy’s skills. It’ll also add a performance mode.
