Monster Hunter Wilds has a heavier focus on storytelling. Based on that, you might be thinking that the game’s campaign is longer than what it used to be in previous Monster Hunter games. However, the latest Monster Hunter title, surprisingly, is roughly the same length as the previous titles, at least for theLow Rank.
However, once you hit High Rank, the game does get significantly meatier. As is the case with any Monster Hunter game, the gameplay loop here is infinitely long, as the endgame has a near-endless amount of content. However, the campaign, at least on release, has a finite amount of content, including both Low and High Rank.

Monster Hunter Wilds Low Rank Completion Time
The Low Rank of Monster Hunter Wilds is roughly10-15 hourslong. In Low Rank, the story consists of the firstthree chaptersof the game. While the Low Rank in MH Wilds might seem rather short, it is essentially the same length as MH World’s Low Rank. If you beeline the main story, you can technically finish the Low Rank in7-8 hours.
However, if you want to take your time, grind for some of the later armor sets, complete allOptional Quests, and also finish the Side Quests that unlock in LR, it will last you roughly 15 hours. However, it should be mentioned that Low Rank doesn’t have an endgame. Once you finish Low Rank, you’re immediately sent to High Rank.
Monster Hunter Wilds High Rank Completion Time
While Low Rank finishes quite fast, the game reduces its pace significantly once you head intoHigh Rank. Completing all the High Rank quests in Monster Hunter Wilds takes roughly20-25 hours, based on how much time you spend grinding. In addition to that, once you finish High Rank, you get access to MH Wilds’ endgame.
That being said, if this is your first Monster Hunter game, it might take you a bit longer, especially if you’re undecided on your main weapon and build.
