The anime went on to become one of the greatest animated shows of all time. Masashi Kishimoto’sNarutohas fans all over the world. The tale of the gutsy ninja has inspired innumerable people.

Masashi Kishimoto is a legendary figure in the anime world. But few people know that he considers another legendary mangaka to be his sensei. That person is none other than Yoshihiro Togashi, creator ofYu Yu HakushoandHunter x Hunter. The two came together for an interview in 2009. Over there, Masashi Kishimoto revealed that he has a weird manga fetish.
Masashi Kishimoto’s Weird Manga Fetish
Masashi Kishimoto’sNarutoandNaruto Shippudenhave sold millions of copies. The plot, character designs, fights, emotional hits, betrayal, death, love, etc., make it one of the best. It is also considered to be one of the big three anime of the old generation. During the 10th Anniversary ofNaruto, Masashi Kishimoto and Yoshihiro Togashi did an interview together. It was at that time that Kishimoto revealed about his weird manga fetish.

Togashi sensei was asked whether there was anything that caught his attention while readingNaruto. He mentioned the fight between Kakashi and Team 7 was spectacular. Kakashi was able to overpower them while reading his book. Kishimoto’s creative sense impressed him. The way of drawing the limbs and how the characters hold their possessions was simply marvelous.
After hearing such high praises,Masashi Kishimoto answered,“I like concentrating on a single body part. Back when I was in high school, I had a notebook filled with drawings of hands and legs under different angles, I guess you could call it my fetish.”It is awkward to think that one of the greatest mangakas ever has a fetish for drawing limbs. It is one of the weirdest fetishes that anyone has ever had.

Yoshihiro Togashi’s Reaction To TheNarutoCreator
Even though people think it to be bizarre, Yoshihiro Togashi applauded Kishimoto for his weird fetish. He said that the method is beneficial for Naruto since it provides a balance between Shonen and his original contributions. Masashi Kishimoto was overjoyed with this reaction, but he added that his task has become more difficult than before. He would like to improve several areas, but he feels that restrains have also increased.
Yoshihiro Togashi’s honest reaction to this was,“As long as you do not break the rules that you consider are key to the story, the changes you bring will go with no problems, try and experiment different ways and face multiple challenges.”Masashi Kishimotoconsiders Togashi to be his sensei. In the past, he has taken notes from him. Togashi’s encouragement helped him in creating his manga. Later on,Narutowent on to be a blockbuster among anime. But this still does not hide the fact that theNarutocreator’s weird fetish is truly unheard of.
