The success of theSpider-Manfranchise under the MCU’s banner proved to be a springboard for many stars and their careers, especially the lead stars Tom Holland and Zendaya, who found more than commercial success through the films. After the shooting of the first installment in the series, they took to Instagram to finally make their relationship official to the public.

With their relationship now flourishing, people are always excited about any new big updates from their personal lives. But taking a step back and looking at Zendaya’s life in retrospect, there was a time when she made up her mind to find a partner that she could kiss in real life before doing so in front of a camera.
Zendaya Wanted To Experience Kissing In Real Life Before The Movies
Where the Hollywood industry is a place where an actor or actress has to give it her all to make a film into a blockbuster, physical intimacy is also a factor that has to be taken into consideration by them as something that comes with the job. Thus, the idea of kissing your co-star when the script demands it seems natural, yetZendayadidn’t think so, as she refused to do so when she was a teen star on Disney’sShake It Up!
During her interview withVogue,Zendaya talked about her life, where she reminisced about the past while also talking about how she views her future in Hollywood alongside many new, young, and talented actors. Then, she also opened up about how during her time at Disney, she was adamant that she wanted to experience a real kiss from a person when she wasn’t in front of the camera, which was her reason to deny a kissing scene inShake It Up!she said:

“I remember being on Shake It Up and being like, ‘I’m not gonna do this. I’m going to kiss him on the cheek because I haven’t been kissed yet so I don’t want the kiss to be on camera,’”
Talking about this, the relationship between her andTom Hollandseems like a cute story that makes fans’ hearts flutter.

How Did They Start Dating?
During the shoot of the then-upcomingSpider-Man: Homecoming, there were a lot of rumors that suggested that the two co-stars were secretly dating each other, which began on set thanks to their roles as each other’s love interests. Then, after the shoot was over and the film released, they decided it was time to tell the world about their love, which they did through their Instagrams, and the rest is history.
