Jeremy Allen White, the actor who is playing Kerry Von Erich inThe Iron Claw, told why filming the new A24 movie was seriously spooky.
The movie is based on Von Erich which will hit the screens on February 9th, 2024. It features Jeremy Allen White, Zac Efron, Harris Dickinson, Lily James, and Maura Tierney.
The story of Von Erich is tragic. The wrestler died by suicide at just the age of 33. He shot himself in the chest with a pistol. Kerry’s sad ending left a wrestling legacy and a family, including his two daughters—Hollie Brooke and Lacey.

Jeremy Allen White Left Terrified by the Filming Experience ofThe Iron Claw
Jeremy Allen Whitehad a frightening experience while filming for the upcoming filmThe Iron Claw. White told his experience of playing the American professional wrestler in the biopic toGQ:
“I had never played a real person before and it’s so frightening, because someone’s life is being investigated.”
On the set ofThe Iron Claw, the actor met Kerry’s two daughters—Hollie and Lacey. He reflected on the encounter with them and admitted:“That was really scary for me.”
He also explained that he’s usually into roles about loneliness as he feels“very close to it all the time.”However, he’s now stepping away from being led by this emotion, adding:“It just feels bad. I’m not a method actor, but what I do try to do is stay close to a feeling that I think is appropriate.”But in the same interview, he also revealed that he missed out on the chance to play in Marvel.

Why Marvel didn’t cast Jeremy Allen White
White was on a track to the Marvel role. Once, he sat down with Marvel execs“for a kind of Marvel-y movie,”and he“had an attitude,”White explained in the same interview with GQ.“I think I played it all wrong.”The Bear star admitted that he has been skeptical of superhero films.
“ ‘Tell me about why should I do your movie,’” White said to the execs.“They were like, ‘Fuck you.’ And I was like, ‘Right on.’”
Though White knows that Marvel has“really good filmmakers to do those movies and obviously they get really good actors to do those movies,”he doesn’t regret how his meeting with them turned out.“I played it the way I wanted to play it,”he added.
