The film industry is constantly evolving and mutating according to the wants of the audience, which has led to the popularization of small-screen entertainment in modern times. And leading the charts on this front is the iconic HBO originalEuphoria, which stars Zendaya as the protagonist and the key character of the narration.

And to bring that sense of excitement and amazement, the stars have to make sure they’re constantly pushing themselves to bring out the best. But with this duty, it seems like Zendaya may have pushed herself a little too far, especially in this particular episode of the show.

Zendaya Got Physically Injured And Exhausted While Shooting For This Episode Of Euphoria

Taking the small-screen entertainment industry by storm with its dark and gritty yet equally amazing story and performances by the actors,Euphoriahas become one of the biggest names in TV shows. And leading the narration of this story is none other thanZendaya, who has become the youngest Golden Globe award winner for her exceptional depiction of Rue Bennet in the show. But it hasn’t been easy for the young actress, especially when she had to push herself past the breaking point in this one particular episode from season 2.

The episode in question is the fifth episode from the second season titledStand Still Like The Hummingbird,where audiences see Rue run around the entire town trying to find her suitcase filled with drugs as she refuses to go to rehab. Here, she faces hardships in every form ranging from psychological, to emotional and physical. In an interview, theSpider-Man: Homecomingstar detailed how that episode borderline broke her while she was filming each shot. She said:

“It was a very tough day. I mean, I beat myself up. I still have some scars on my legs, and got quite a few bruises. The general idea was always the same, which was this idea of, we cut right into an intervention and it’sRuejust ripping her life apart and setting her life on fire and kind of tearing everything to the ground to basically come to hopefully what feels like rock bottom for her.”

While the shoot may have been one of the most demanding jobs that she had ever undertaken, it paid off in the end as the episode was a crucial part of the story as well as her character, which was executed to perfection, and thus, loved by the audience.
