Former James Bond Star George Lazenby wants Margot Robbie to become the next 007
In an interview withThe Sun, former James Bond star George Lazenby shared his thoughts on casting the next Bond. The actor shared he wants to see a female James Bond in the upcoming films.On Her Majesty’s Secret Servicefame,shared that given a choice, he would love to seeThe Suicide Squadactress as the super spy. He said,
“I would rather see a woman on screen than a man, so it might be a good idea having a woman play James Bond… Jane Bond. I think it’s a good idea. I mean, why not?”
“There’s an Australian actress who’s over here that I was just listening to on the television today, Margot Robbie,” Lazenby continued. “She would be good. She’s ballsy. She comes across like she’s very confident… if you’re able to pull that off, people will believe you.”

James Bond fame George Lazenby’s earlier views on female Bond
The actor was earlier opposed to the idea of a female 007, as he shared withThe Sunin 2018,
“I couldn’t care less [if there is a female Bond]. If you hit a woman you get arrested so it wouldn’t work.”
However, in the 2020 interview, he changed his opinion and suggested that the producers can take a martial arts star as a female Bond. He said,
“Some UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) fighters are women. They’re capable. I wouldn’t like to meet one in a dark alley.”
No Time To Diestar Lea Seydoux shared in an interview that 007 is totally a sexual object, and may be the only male character that has been sexualized.
