As reported by the N.Y. Daily News, Gibson’s representative responded to the allegations by stating that they had no comment regarding the credibility or authenticity of the alleged audio tapes. They also claimed to have no knowledge of the situation.
As per TMZ’s findings, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department actively pursued the reported audiotapes containing alleged threats made by Mel Gibson against his ex-girlfriend. “The tapes are supposed to be turned over voluntarily, adding there have been no subpoenas issued for the tapes by his department,” the police said at the time.
