A mere 53 films have managed to surpass the billion-dollar mark, and that momentum has notably waned since the global COVID-19 pandemic permanently altered the landscape of movie attendance. While many might think The Marvels would make it to that list, an industry insider thinks otherwise.

An insider who goes by the Twitter handle @MyTimeToShineHello claims Deadpool 3, Spider-Man 4, and the two upcoming Avengers installments are undoubtedly poised to achieve billion-dollar status. Beyond those, it’s challenging to foresee any other Marvel movie within the Multiverse Saga reaching that milestone.

Marvel Looking To Cash In Big On New Films
The anticipated impact ofDeadpool 3is unquestionable, yet whether it will achieve the monumental $1 billion benchmark remains uncertain. The R-rated superhero comedy is gearing up to reintroduceRyan Reynoldsas the iconic mercenary, accompanied this time byHugh Jackmanreprising hisX-Menrole as Wolverine, marking their first collaboration within the MCU.
Deadool 3, Spider-Man 4 and the two Avengers films will hit a billion for sure. Other than that can’t really see any other Marvel movie in the Multiverse Saga doing ithttps://t.co/njEmhSYDW4

The previous twoDeadpoolmovies enjoyed substantial success at the box office, setting records for the highest-grossing R-rated films of their time. Although they fell short of the billion-dollar milestone, the addition of Jackman’s star power and the incorporation of the beloved character into Marvel Studios’ interconnected cinematic universe bode well forDeadpool 3, positioning it to chart new territory for the irreverent franchise.

Its R-rating, however, may serve as a limiting factor. Notably, only one R-rated film, Todd Phillips’Joker, has ever surpassed the $1 billion mark. Achieving this feat would mark a groundbreaking moment for the film industry. Other films to replicate this success could be the fourth installment ofSpider-Man, starring Tom Holland, and the two upcomingAvengersfilms.

The Marvels Might Not Make It To The List
The reception ofGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3was influenced by the mixed feedback from fans in response toAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,a film that merely doubled its initial domestic box office earnings, culminating in a total of $214.5 million.
In addition to this, the varied responses to the Disney+ streaming series linked to the franchise have contributed to a decline in the excitement among casual fans. Many have found it increasingly difficult to navigate the intricate narrative threads that have seemingly woven the post-Endgame Marvel Cinematic Universe into a complex and fragmented web, which has left some viewers feeling disconnected.
Moreover, the preliminary pre-sales figures for a Marvel Studios project are raising concerns due to their remarkably low numbers. Present trends indicate a 69 percent deficit compared toGuardians Vol. 3, a 72 percent drop relative toQuantumania, and a 42 percent shortfall compared toEternals.
Furthermore, the month of November poses a substantial challenge, with significant contenders such asThe Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakesand, notably, Disney’sWish, both set to debut during the second and third weekends ofThe Marvels.Whether the film can defy the odds and triumph or risk fading into obscurity is a question that awaits an answer.
