Sandra BullockandScarlett Johansson‘s kiss was definitely one of the biggest highlights of the 2010 award show.
Anne Fletcher’sThe Proposal, a rom-com starring Bullock and ScarJo’s now ex-husband,Ryan Reynolds, bagged a bunch of nominations at the MTV Movie Awards that year, one of which happened to be the Best Kiss category. But because Reynolds wasn’t present at the time of the awards, Bullock ended up kissing his then-wife instead.
When theSpeedactress went on the stage to accept the Generation Award from Johansson who was accompanied by Bradley Cooper and Betty White, she seemed taken aback by ScarJo’s presence.“This is so weird. Scarlett,”Bullock said.“I really love you and all, but this is just really uncomfortable. Why are you here?”But Johansson was only there for extending some moral support.“I’m here because Ryan couldn’t be here, and I wanted to be here when you accepted your award for Best Kiss,”theBlack Widowstar remarked.
While Bullock and Reynolds didn’t win the MTV award for Best Kiss, the former did get her money’s worth after kissing Johansson, who ironically enough, used to be married to Reynolds back then.“I thought you should have won… it was a great kiss,”ScarJo told Bullock.

Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds Dating Rumors: Fuel to the Fire
After being married for a couple of years, Johansson and Reynolds called it quits and went their separate ways in 2011. Shortly after their divorce, rumors about Bullock dating People’s 2010 Sexiest Man Alive bubbled up on the internet. In light of all the gossip surrounding Bullock and Reynolds’ alleged romantic dynamic, the former met with Johansson at a Golden Globes after-party to clear the air.

“Scarlett and Sandra had dinner,”a source revealed toLife & Stylemagazine.“They’ve always gotten along so Sandra explained exactly how she felt about the whole Ryan situation. She didn’t want anything to get in the way of their friendship,”the insider said, claiming that no“awkwardness”remained between the two actresses anymore.
In fact, the Miss Congeniality star herself admitted that her friendship with Reynolds never went beyond the platonic stage. “He’s just an amazing friend I’ve had for ten years and I hope there is more friendship like that – but I don’t get his loving after dark.”
