Although it is common for TV stars to not watch their own movies, this confession of Depp came out as rather weird, judging how the movie got him his first Academy Awards nomination for Best Actor. Well, to each their own.

After this strange disclosure of refusing to watch his own Oscar-nominated movie by Johnny Depp, the actor’s past involvement with Disney’s $4.52 billion worthPirates of the Caribbeanfranchise came into question. Responding to this, the founder of Puck NewsMatthew Bellonitook to Twitter to share theEdward Scissorhandsstar’s statement, saying,
“Johnny Depp just said in court he never saw the first Pirates movie. Remember, he was nominated for an Oscar for that film. Just a baller move right there.”
Following the five sequels to the Disney franchise’s first movie, a sixth sequel is said to be in the making. However, fans are afraid they might not be able to see Johnny Depp reprising his Jack Sparrow role, considering how Dinsey abandoned him during his messy divorce drama with Amber Heard, after which the actor refused to return to Disney no matter what. But with rumors popping up every now and then about his return to the franchise, fans are only hoping for the best.
