All right ladies and gentlemen here’s another round on why Henry Cavill leavingThe Witcherwas indeed a good decision and Netflix’s loss. When the actor was approached by Dwayne Johnson to make a cameo as Superman in DCU’sBlack Adam,Cavill leftThe Witcherfranchise that instant.

Fans thought that theMan of Steelactor had a lot on his plate in the DCU and that is why he had to quit. After his departure from the DCU however, it was revealed that Cavill had had a fallout withThe Witchershowrunner Lauren S. Hissrich over creative differences. It is just as Cavill feared,The Witcherseason 3 deviates significantly from the source novels, which is exactly what the fans and theEnola Holmesactor clearly did not like.

Back when tension was high, Cavill had alleged that the showrunner of the series, Lauren S. Hissrich had no respect for the original novels as she twisted the tale however she saw fit. This was further proven true when the VFX supervisor ofThe Witchersat down for a chat with Screenrant. Stating that they had a very big task at hand, the VFX supervisor, Sebastian Francoeur, and producer Graeme Marshall let it slip that they were working on things“never heard or seen before in The Witcher lore”
“I don’t think it’s anything that anyone’s read or seen before in Witcher lore, so I think it’s gonna be exciting,”

This wasn’t all, however, as the producer ofThe Witchertried to defend their decision by comparing the Netflix series with that of the HBO showThe Last of Us.

Since both the critically acclaimed series are based on games, a comparison between the two was bound to happen. The producer ofThe Witcherdefended the series’ deviation by stating that they had a lot of creative freedom to try and explore different stories,

“It’s different from watching a show like The Last of Us, in which the first episode is the beginning of the video game. Whereas with this, I think there’s a lot of creative license to stay similar and true to certain parts and enable them to explore different parts as well.”
It has been announced that this will be the last season whereinHenry Cavillwill portray the role of Geralt of Rivia inThe Witcher.Liam Hemsworth will be the new lead replacement of Cavill from season 4 onwards.
The Witcherseason 1 and 2 are currently available to stream on Netflix.
