Since the release of Naruto’s spin-off sequel series Boruto, fans have been comparing Boruto to his father’s childhood to see whose journey as a Ninja is better. Because of this, the series is getting a lot of hate since the start and fans believe that there is no way Boruto is going to even come close to Naruto.

Naruto and Boruto are two different characters and they both have different ambitions and dreams and have followed different paths. There may be some similarities between the characters as they are both father and son, but in a broader perspective, both of them are entirely different.
Recently, this argument was ignited again on X(Twitter) by a user who shared a clip that showed that just like Boruto, Naruto also kind of cheated during his chunin exams. This brought out all the Boruto fans who started pointing out that Naruto was no different than his hated son from the series.

Differences Between Naruto and Boruto
Despite being father and son, Naruto and Boruto have different qualities that set them apart from each other. Boruto has been quite clear from the beginning that he does not intend to become Hokage. Conversely, Naruto dedicated his entire life to preparing himself to become the Hokage.
The most obvious distinction between Naruto and Boruto is their upbringing. Naruto’s early years were extremely difficult. He was raised without parents and was despised by the majority of the villagers. Because his father is the village’s Hokage, which is a problem in and of itself, Boruto was raised well and is well-known and loved throughout the village.

These differences have been frequently talked about by fans of both the series. One such feud took place between both fanbases when a user shared a tweet that showed Naruto kind of cheating during the chunin exams like his father. This brought out all the Boruto fans who pointed out the fact that Boruto is no different than Naruto.

The tweet read: “People hate Boruto for cheating during the Chunin exams. Meanwhile Naruto during the Chunin exams” with the clip.
Boruto fans started pouring in their opinions about how Naruto is just like his son trying to cheat during the chunin exams. Boruto also used a scientific ninja tool during his chunin exams which resulted in his disqualification. Fans even went to the length of saying that Boruto is just like his father and Minato and he too is a GOAT just like them.
Tbh naruto was privileged than boruto ever will be,i hope no one gets parents as bad as boruto, boruto really suffered in the silent while hinata and naruto neglected him and only focused on himawari.boruto really the greatest.

A lot of Naruto fans in the replies and qrts are hypocritical. So you’re allowed to cheat if you’re an obstracized orphan, nah cheating is still cheating. And ppl forgetting that Boruto was manipulated to cheat by a grown ass man 😮💨https://t.co/JFhrEf6umE
