During the discussion, the talk of the 2010 filmScott Pilgrim vs. the Worldcame into discussion. In the film, Evans portrayed the role of Lucas Lee. Director Edgar Wright described the character of Lucas Lee quite descriptively and later told Chris Evans that he was the perfect choice for the role which was quite humorous and a little bit insulting for the actor. Evans revealed toGQhow he was insulted even before joining the 2010 film.
“The pitch for Scott Pilgrim was so strange but he [Edgar Wright] kind of said ‘Lucas Lee is this movie star but he really doesn’t have much range and he thinks he’s great but he’s actually terrible and I think you’d be perfect.’ I said ‘Okay.'”

With his role in the film, Evans had to hang off of cable wires and rigs for all the stunts that he had to do. Despite being uncomfortable while shooting the movie, Evans revealed toGQthat after filming ended, he was very sad to leave the project.

“Leaving was heartbreaking. It truly was, like the first time, I was like ‘I mean, I can just hang out if you guys need me.’ You don’t wanna miss a beat. The reherseal was so fun.”
He further continued,
“Then you leave and come back a month later to do your bit and you just have such horrible FOMO. Yeah, to this day that E-mail chain is still very active”.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the Worldreceived a rating of 7.5/10 on IMDB and 82% on Rotten Tomatoes and is deemed as a cult classic. The 2010 film is available to rent on Apple TV+ in the U.S.
