Despite the negativity thatLiam Hemsworthhas received around his takeover ofHenry Cavill‘s role inThe Witcherafter his exit from the show, Hemsworth has incredibly lovely words to say about the actor. In an Instagram post announcing his addition to the show,The Hunger Gamesactor talked about how grateful he was about getting this role as he is a fan of the show.
“As a Witcher fan, I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honored that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure.”he said in the Instagram post,“Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping into The Witcher world.”

He revealed that he has been a massive fan of Cavill’s work and is honored to have been chosen to follow in his footsteps. He added that he has been following the career of theMan of Steelactor and was heavily inspired by his work. He ended that post by talking about how Cavill has left some big shoes for him to fill he is excited to enter the world ofThe Witcher.

What Does Henry Cavill Have to Say to Liam Hemsworth About Replacing Him InThe Witcher?
Similar to Liam Hemsworth, Henry Cavill also put up a post on Instagram to announce the news of his departure and Hemsworth’s takeover. Cavill started off by talking about stepping off as Geralt of Rivia inThe Witcher, stating that he had to put down his sword as his time as the character has come to an end. He added that his journey was incredibly memorable for him but he will not be retuning for a fourth season.
“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4. In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men.”He added,“Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.”

The actor also explained that he will be passing that mantel off to Hemsworth and wished him the best as the White Wolf. He also went on to mention that Hemsworth’s take on this character is quite fascinating and one he cannot wait to see.
The WitcherSeason 3 Volume 1 will release on Netflix on the 29 of June 2023.
