Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has become a prime candidate to win Game of the Year. Considering it was one of the most-anticipated games before its release, the studio has delivered on those huge expectations.

A key reason behind the game’s success is that it follows players to immerse themselves in the experience of being Spider-Man. Insomniac Games has made it a reality by allowing players to play in various ways, including the Noir Universe.

Apart from the visual changes, the game mechanics remain pretty much the same. But for what it’s worth, it’s good to know that there is a way for fans to play alternate versions of Spider-Man in the same game.
After all, the game has a total of 68 unlockable suits spread throughout the journey. Peter Parker’s Noir suit can also be unlocked as a player progresses through the story.
Following the Noir Universe, we are sure more fans will attempt to replicate different variants of the Web-Slinger over the next few weeks.

Who is Spider-Man Noir?
Spider-Man Noir is an alternate version of the Web-Slinger, who is a resident of Earth-90214. Instead of the usual modern setting, Noir is a superhero of New York during the Great Depression.
Evidently, it’s a darker take on the otherwise joyous superhero. Another key aspect that separates Noir from other variants of Parker is the fact that he’s politically active.
In fact, even before Peter of Earth-90214 put on his suit, he vouched for a massive political change. While Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 doesn’t offer any depth about this variant of Web-Crawler from a story perspective, it was definitely cool to play with the O.G. Spider-Man in the Noir costume.
As for the comics, Marvel introduced a new variant of Spider-Man in 2009. During the story, Noir dies in Spider-Geddon. However, it was later revealed that Spidey survived in a web cocoon on Earth-90214.
Considering this variant of Peter is very interesting, a future movie or TV show around the same can never be ruled out. There are many rumors that the Spider-Man Noir series will happen under the banner of Amazon in the future.
