The Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo Event quest is fairly straightforward as it requires players to hunt aHigh RankYian Kut-Ku in theScarlet Forest. However, unlike the regular Yain Kut-Ku hunt (accessible viaOptional Quests), the Event quest offers a significantly higher Zenny reward, as well as exclusive headgear, upon completion.

Requirements for the Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo Event Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds

To start the Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo Event quest in Monster Hunter Wilds, you first need to reachHigh Rankand complete the first HR quest. Furthermore, you also need to hitHunter Rank9, which shouldn’t be difficult since you enter High Rank at Hunter Rank 8. Once you’re HR 9, you can simply talk toAlma(the Handler) and selectEvent Queststo pull up the list of all available Events. The timer for the Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo quest is 50 minutes, i.e., the average quest time. The failure conditions are also the usual3 Faints. Furthermore, the quest can be tackled in co-op with friends or random players online.

Much like the Event quests in previous titles, Monster Hunter Wilds’ events are also available for a limited time. The Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo Event quest will be available tillMarch 18, 2025. After that, a new set of Event quests will arrive, with their own rewards. As such, it’s best to complete the Event quests as soon as they go live. That way, you’re securing the exclusive rewards, which you can craft later, even after the Event quests have cycled.

Tips To Easily Complete Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo Event Quest

The Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo is a fairly standardYian Kut-Kuhunting quest. You can choose to either slay or capture the monster to complete the quest and reap the rewards. Yian Kut-Ku isn’t a particularly challenging monster. However, if you’re still using aLow Rankbuild, you might find the monster a tad bit difficult to deal with. The best way to tackle Yian Kut-Ku is with aHigh Rankset and weapon. If you’re in the early stages of High Rank, we recommend sitting the Event quests out for a bit and completing the High Rank main campaign. Doing so will open up the entire suite of build options for you to use in the Event quests.

However, if you want to complete the Event quest as soon as you hit High Rank, you may still do so. We highly recommend using weapons with theParalysisStatus Effect since it’s one of the major weaknesses of Yian Kut-Ku. You can easily farm High RankLala Barinato get the necessary parts for a good High Rank Paralysis weapon of your choice. Furthermore, it’s also highly recommended to craft theHope setas soon as you reach HR. For the early sections of High Rank, the Hope set offers decent enough stats.

Additionally, it also comes withDivine Blessingskill, which will come in incredibly handy against Yian Kut-Ku. You can also summon theSupport Huntersor other online players for the Event quest. However, do note that using the SOS feature to call other players for support will result in reduced Zenny payout upon quest completion.
