What Does David Corenswet Think About Henry Cavill’s Superman?
During this interview, however, David Corenswet said something that can be considered quite controversial for some fans of Henry Cavill and his Superman. The star mentioned in the 2019 interview that if he were to ever play Clark Kent, he would like to play a more upbeat version of the character compared to Cavill’s version of him.
“I would love to see somebody do an upbeat, throwback [take on Superman]. I love the Henry Cavill dark and gritty take, but I would love to see the next one be very bright and optimistic.”He mentioned.

Henry Cavill’s Superman is quite well known for straying away from its source material, choosing to turn a character who is sunshine personified into someone more realistic, a decision which was quite controversial. It would seem however that Corenswet got his dream as his version of Superman will reportedly be more in touch with his humanity according to James Gunn who toldVarietythat he would also be open to showing his kindness and compassion, someone who one would like to give a hug.
