While there was no room for humor for Professor Snape in theHarry Potterfilms, who was downright scary at times, this wasn’t the case for the actor who played him. Reflecting on his experience working on the huge franchise, Daniel Radcliffe expressed that he holds a deep respect for the cast and recounted a hilarious incident involving Michael Gambon and Alan Rickman.

Although the characters Gambon and Rickman tackled had nothing to do with comedy, contrary to their characters, both of them were pretty funny on sets and didn’t hold back with the pranks.

AlthoughHarry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabanwas one of the more serious entries in the IP,  the production of the film couldn’t have been more fun for everyone involved, especially Radcliffe. And following Rickman and Gambon’s hilarious nature, they decided to prankDaniel Radcliffeduring one of the most dramatic moments in the third film, which left theHarry PotterStar embarrassed.

During hisAsk Me Anything Session on Reddit, Radcliffe wrote,

“There’s – in the 3rd film – there’s a shot in the great hall of all the kids sleeping in the great hall, and the camera starts very very wide, and comes in so that it’s an inch from my face, a very long developing set, yeah, and Alan Rickman decided he would plant one of those fart machines in my, uh, sleeping bag, and they waited until like -the camera had come in for this huge DRAMATIC developing shot, and then unleashed this tremendous noise in the great hall.”

And even though it was a bit embarrassing for a teenage Radcliffe, he didn’t mind that as the situation“was really really funny.”

The World Is Less Fun Without Michael Gambon Stated Daniel Radcliffe

Following the tragic passing of Michael Gambon, Daniel Radcliffe bid a heartfelt goodbye to the actor. Apart from commending the actor’s brilliance,The Lost CityStar expressed his sorrow, stating“The world just became considerably less fun”after Gambon’s passing. PerVariety, he wrote,

“With the loss of Michael Gambon the world just became considerably less fun. Michael Gambon was one of the most brilliant, effortless actors I’ve ever had the privilege of working with, but despite his immense talent, the thing I will remember most about him is how much fun he had doing his job.
