Emma Watson was featured in a 2013 crime film, inspired by the real incidents that happened in Hollywood. The film’s director intended to feature the victim of the incident, including Orlando Bloom. While some of the celebrities, who suffered the action of the real-life gang called Bling Ring, agreed to feature in the film,The Lord of the Ringsactor refused to be associated with it. Many celebrities like Paris Hilton and Kirsten Dunst became the victim of these teenage burglars and even had a cameo in the film. However, when Sofia Coppola made the same offer to Bloom, he denied being associated with the project in any way possible.

Orlando Bloom Refused to Star Alongside Emma Watson

Starting in 2008, Hollywood reported some of its biggest heists, as celebrity mansions kept on getting robbed. Some of the high-profile celebrities who suffered from these robberies included Paris Hilton, Kirsten Dunst, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson,Orlando Bloom, and many more.

In 2011, the American filmmaker, Sofia Coppola, decided to make a film following the group of teenagers who committed these burglaries and also wanted to make the victims of these burglaries feature in her film. While she did manage to convince some of them, not all of them were on the same page as Coppola.

When Sophia Coppola asked Orlando Bloom for a cameo in the film, he rejected the offer, as it felt too personal to him. He shared that Sofia Coppola is“wonderful,”and he would love to work with her, but this is not the project he would like to be involved with as it was“too close to home”for him.

Not only he rejected the offer, but he also objected to the film on such an incident being made as he lost some of his most valuable possessions. Orlando Bloom took matters into his own hands and managed to get back some of what was stolen.

Orlando Bloom Took the Matter Into His Own Hands

Orlando Bloom talked about getting robbed by the infamous Bling Ring during his appearance onThe Late Late Show with James Cordon.The 46-year-old actor shared that the burglars stole multiple things from his house including some clothing and a collection of watches that he has been collecting for a long time.

The Pirates of the Caribbeanactor shared that his collection included some very expensive watches and he seemed especially upset with them being stolen. However, around three months later, he got information that someone is selling some of the watches from his collection.

Upon finding out that the person selling his watches is a pawn shop owner, he went to meet him to get them back. However, he had to return empty-handed on the first day. But he eventually got a call from that person and got five of the ten watches that he lost in the robbery.

Bloom shared that as he saw those watches he was on the verge of tears and was happy that he was able to track them down. He also joked that a film of him tracking down his lost watches would have been more interesting than Sofia Coppola’sThe Bling Ring.
