The hype has been building for the latest instalment in the spine-shredding, bone-crunching beat em up over the last few weeks and this latest gameplay trailer proves why. Showing off multiple fighters facing off against each other including a young Raiden fighting against Kenshi, duking it out in what looks like a Shaolin temple.

Some brand new grizzly fatalities were also showcased including Scorpion using his trade mark Kunai to skewer Sub-Zero, then Divebomb him into a ball of fire and Raiden using Scorpions body as a blood piñata. Honestly, there are too many fatalities in the trailer to list, so check them out in all their blood soaked gloryhere.

It appears that rather than a hard reboot of the series,Mortal Kombat 1will serve as a continuation of the events that take place in the Mortal Kombat 11: AftermathDLC. At the end of the DLC, the MK timeline is reset, (again), after Liu Kang and Raiden fuse into one being to take down the Titan of time Kroninca.
