The film focuses on how Adonis Creed is trained by his father Apollo Creed’s former rival Rocky Balboa. Since then we have got three movies in the spin-off franchise.
The filming of the 2015 movie got a bit ugly when former boxer-turned-actor Tony Bellew allegedly went into a physical conflict with another actor on set. Although there haven’t been many details on the incident, it can be said that the crew was lucky as things were stopped from escalating into something more serious. The former boxer nicknamed ‘Bomber’ boasts a record of having 20 Knockouts.

The incident was first brought to light when TMZ reported the incident. According to it,Sylvester Stalloneand the others had to intervene when the Ricky Colnan actor jumped out of the ring and went against another actor on set who was playing the role of his corner coach. Even though the makers repeatedly denied the incident getting physical, several witnesses spoke otherwise.

What did Malik Bazille say about the whole incident?
For everyone unversed, Malik Bazille is the actor who was at the center of all this alongside Tony Bellew. According to him, the whole incident was a part of a misunderstanding and he did nothing to drive Tony Bellew mad. As he publicly spoke about the incident in a 2021 podcast, the fans got some clarification about what happened on the set that day.
If Malik Bazille’s statement onThe Fighter and The Kidpodcast is believed, the conflict occurred when Bellew was irritated by a repeated order from director Ryan Coogler. Unfortunately, the cruiserweight champion thought it was coming from Malik Bazille who played the role of the character Amir in the 2015 flick. It was also primarily due to Coogler’s“weird”directorial skills who was at that time under the ring and repeatedly told Bellew to ‘sell the body shot’.

“Ryan Coogler – the director – he’d do these weird spots where he would watch playback and this time he was under the ring, no one can see him. We cut. I’m chilling and talking to the extras. I’m chopping it up and he goes, ‘Malik, don’t ever tell me to f–king sell a body shot. I know how to f–king sell a body shot’”
It led to the duo reportedly engaging in a verbal altercation which was stopped by Sylvester Stallone and the others. The actor and the comedian also added that even the police were involved in the whole incident when the witnesses were scared about it. But it was evident from his statement that Bazille understood the whole incident as a misunderstanding and didn’t mind anything.
