He has received the support and well wishes from many celebrities, they even came forward to congratulate him for winning the defamation trial against Amber Heard. One of the stars who always stood by the actor was none other than the Iron Man actor, Robert Downey Jr. There was also news earlier that he wanted Johnny Depp to be a part of Sherlock Holmes 3 to help restore his career.

After the verdict came out, Johnny Depp has been celebrating. The actor even thanked the jury for giving him his life back. His career took a hit when the actress accused him of domestic violence. But now his name is clear and he can finally come back and rebuild his career again. He has been enjoying lavish dinners and performing at concerts since. New York Post reported that amid all this Robert Downey Jr. called his old friend and congratulated him.

“John, thank God, it’s over,” he said as told by Josh Richman who shared the news that The Judge actor FaceTimed Johnny Depp after the verdict was out. As the actor wasn’t present in court, he heard the verdict in a hotel room in the UK. He was stoic, while the rest of the staff and friends celebrated around him.

While the Secret Window actor celebrates, Amber Heard opened up about the trial and the verdict. She spoke about all the hate that she had received on social media. Also, she said that the way she was treated by Johnny Depp’s fans wasn’t fair. Her representation wasn’t fair and even if she was lying, none of her trollers could look her in the eye and say that.
She said that fans think they know the actor when all they really know is the character he played. They all love him for the character and don’t know him in real life. She even called him a fantastic actor.
