I personally always rejected that moment, I tried maybe once and it always made me feel terrible.”

Larson is now one of the biggest stars in the MCU. However, many fans weren’t always that accepting when the idea of the first female-fronted Marvel movie came to the fore.Captain Marvel (2019)was the butt of sexist jokes from internet trolls, who even took time to leave negative reviews for the Larson-led movie to make their point.
Samuel L. Jackson, who also starred in the movie as Nick Fury, shared his thoughts on the hate she received from online users, stating (viaRolling Stone):
“Brie’s a stronger person than people give her credit for. She’s not going to let any of that stuff destroy her. These incel dudes who hate strong women, or the fact that she’s a feminist who has an opinion and expressed it? Everybody wants people to be who they want them to be. She is who she is, and she’s genuinely that.”
