The idea of a multiverse or parallel universe in which different versions of a character exist has become a fascinating theme in the ever-expanding genre of superhero films. DC’sThe Flashmovie will delve extensively into this multiverse.

However, it has recently come to light that Warner Bros. did not permit Andy Muschietti to use CGI to bring back the two iconic DC stars who have passed away. Fans hoped to see these legendary actors reprise their roles in the much-anticipated superhero film, so this decision disappointed them.
DC’s Multiverse Unveiled Without Superman and Wonder Woman
Starring Ezra Miller,The Flashis an action-packed adventure that whisks viewers to fantastical worlds populated by surprising iterations of beloved characters. The film stars Michael Keaton as Batman, different from Ben Affleck’s portrayal, and Sasha Calle as Supergirl, who takes over for Henry Cavill’s Superman in the Zack Snyder films.

In the final moments ofThe Flash, when time and space are shattered, we catch glimpses of many different DC heroes from different eras. Muschietti originally planned to glimpse Christopher Reeve, who played Superman in the groundbreaking 1978 film and its sequels.
As a result of his iconic performance, many people consider Reeve to be “the one and only”Superman. However, his digital resurrection was forbidden for reasons that were not made clear. Adam West, who played Batman in a lovably campy 1960s TV series, was another legend that Muschietti wanted to bring back to life.

Fans were hoping to see West, whose portrayal was instrumental in making the Dark Knight popular, return in the multiverse sequence but they were left disappointed. Muschietti lamented that he could not include these two legendary actors in the multiverse scene.
He went on to say that Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the 1970s TV series, was also among the cast members who were let go. Fans are still left wanting even though the decision to leave these stars out may have been motivated by logistical constraints, legal considerations, and the need to keep the movie moving forward.

Michael Keaton’s Triumphant Return
Despite the omissions,The Flashboasts a stellar cast of DC Comics regulars and guest stars. The fact that Michael Keaton reprises his role as Batman after a thirty-year absence is a major selling point.
Both Keaton andBatmanfans are excited to see him return to the role, as his portrayal of the Dark Knight in the 1989 film and its sequel left an indelible mark on theBatmanuniverse. It took some persuading and a trip down memory lane to bring back Keaton’s Batman.

Keaton’s participation in the project was secured thanks to a generous donation fromAndy Muschiettiand Barbara Muschietti to cover Keaton’s lunch. Keaton’s boundless enthusiasm and dedication to the role made a lasting impression on the crew.

Muschietti and the rest of the cast and crew are waiting breathlessly to see how the audience reacts and what happens at the box office. The decision not to use CGI to bring back Christopher Reeve and Adam West is disappointing to fans who hoped to see the legendary actors return to the screen inThe Flash, despite the film’s promise of an exciting journey through alternate realities and iconic DC characters.
It all comes down to how wellThe Flashdoes at the box office and whether we can see any more thrilling adventures in the ever-expanding DC universe.
The Flashis currently in theatres worldwide.
