There is the majority of the Hollywood industry has seen several stars rise from nothing to the highest stages of cinema excellence, and the story of Sylvester Stallone is a prime example of this. The star is known throughout the industry as one of the premier action stars of his time, making such a name for himself that he got the attention of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who considers him a rival to this day.

And so, with so much of his influence all over the world, the industry also reveres him as one of the greatest of all times. But at the same time, there can be some unwanted consequences when a person gets tangled with him in the wrong way, something that his ex-wife learned the hard way after the entirety of Hollywood shut her out after their divorce.

Brigitte Nielsen Believes Her Divorce From Sylvester Stallone Was The Reason Hollywood Disowned Her

Making a name for himself after making his breakthrough in the industry withRockyand the subsequent franchise that followed the success of the film,Sylvester Stallonestarted to rise the ladder of the Hollywood hierarchy with rapid intensity. Here, he also found love when he met Brigitte Nielsen during the shooting ofRocky IV,where she played the role of Ludmilla, the wife of Ivan Drago.

But he found out that love seldom lasts forever like in the movies as both of them separated in 1987 after just two years of marriage. But what followed Nielsen after her divorce was something that she could not have foreseen.  A video of the star resurfaced where she was seen talking about how her life became difficult in Hollywood after her divorce from Stallone where she wouldn’t get any films to work on. She said:

“When I left Sylvester, all doors closed on me, I was basically blacklisted.”

She also outlines her move back to Europe to find work, which thankfully was the right choice as she was able to make a great living with her skills, but she also told that her marriage was something that she felt was rushed and not a great decision.

What Is Sylvester Stallone Doing Today?

After his divorce from Nielsen, Stallone would go on to marry Jennifer Flavin in the year 1997, but that relationship too would come to an end after 25 years of marriage. Thus, the star now finds himself single, while still making blockbusters as usual. With the announcement of the second season of his hit seriesTulsa King,the star is getting ready to deliver another fine performance on the show.
