Fans looking forward to the unique pro-wrestling-themed RPGWrestleQuesttook a major hit when the game received an incredibly last-minute delay. Though it was meant to be released on June 16, 2025, the game was suddenly delayed the day of its intended release to August 12, 2025 instead. According to the developers, however, there was a very good reason for the delay to happen just a few hours before its intended launch.

WrestleQuest saw a delay just three hours to launch.

The game’s developer, MegaCat Studios, released a statement about the delay, saying “When performing final checks on one of our launch platforms, we discovered it was possible for players to lose their save game progress when playingWrestleQueston multiple different devices. Because this is a game filled with hours of content and player progress is so important, we could never bodyslam our fans like that.”

WrestleQuest features a wide array of major wrestling stars.

WrestleQuest Still Drops Soon

It is understandable that such a major bug would cause the game to be delayed, though it is certainly unfortunate it is happening so last minute. The post announcing the delay came just over three hours before its expected launch, so fans hoping to play the moment of launch that missed the memo may have been hit with a wave of confusion and disappointment. Still, for such a major bug in a game players could spend many hours in, it is likely for the best.
