Actors spend a lot of time on set and it could be pretty natural for them to get attached to their character’s belongings. However, sometimes our stars have opted to take home a few souvenirs to signify their time spent portraying a certain character.Even though it was strictly prohibited for all of the cast members to take anything away from theHarry Pottersets, do you think that Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint could walk away empty-handed after spending a large span of their childhood on the sets of eight differentHarry Potterfilms?

Chris Hemsworth: Thor’s Hammer
Not once, not twice, not thrice,Chris Hemsworthhas kept a souvenir of every single time he’s been called upon to play the God of Thunder. During an interview with Jimmy Kemmel in 2018, Hemsworth revealed that he has five different prop versions of Thor’s magical hammer, Mjolnir throughout his home. One even placed in his washroom.
Chris Pratt: Star Lord’s Jacket
Well, here we have a smuggle for a good cause. Before the grand success of his filmGuardians of The Galaxy: Vol 1,Chris Prattin an interview said, “I stole the jacket and some of the wardrobe so that, if this movie comes out and does what everyone hopes it can, I can follow the example of someone, say, like Russell Wilson and go visit sick kids.”
Jennifer Lawrence: Clothes of Katniss
While several of the actors fromThe Hunger Gamesfranchisetook home pieces of memorabilia from their film’s set, The star of the franchise admits on taking home her character Katniss’s signature jacket and boots. On being asked in an interview what she does to them, the Hunger Games star answered, “They’re just hanging in my closet. I don’t know what I’m going to do with them.”
Ryan Reynolds: Deadpool Suit
Deadpoolindeed has a loveable super suit. Ryan Reynolds couldn’t keep his hands away from his character’s costume and hence decided to take one home. In an interview, Reynolds said “I just walked off set with it and basically told them to go f— themselves. I waited for 10 years to do the movie. If they want to take the suit back, they can come to try and take it from me,” he said. “I was in very good shape when I shot the Deadpool movie and I felt confident that I could take out a 107-pound studio executive.”
Rupert Grint: Harry Potter’s Dragon Egg
Rupert Grint who enacted the role of Ron Weasely inHarry Potterwas so impressed by one of the props of the series that he couldn’t help but sneak it home. Grint apparently stole the famous golden dragon egg fromHarry Potter and The Goblet of Firewhich had an embedded crystal. He admitted that he smuggled it home in a pillowcase but sadly had to return it back to the studios when Warner Bros. began an extensive search for the item.
Chadwick Boseman: Kimoyo Beads
The late superstarChadwick Bosemanwas quite fond of his superhero avatar. He admitted in an interview withJimmy Kimmelfor Avengers: Infinity War on being asked if he had kept any mementos from the Marvel sets. Chadwick said, “I kept the beads, the Kimoyo beads, I have them on right now.” Boseman said he cherished the necklace made of Wakandan technology when he played King T’Challa and thought of bringing it home.
Kristen Stewart: Jewellery from Twilight
The award-winning actor who rose to fame for her prominent role of Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga was merely 17 when she started her filming for the franchise. Stewart who appears to have a soft spot for the franchise claimed that she took home her character’s ring.Stewarttold the People magazine that she kept a ring that Bella Swan wears in the film for reminiscing the times spent with director Catherine Hardwicke and co-star Robert Pattinson.
Daniel Radcliffe: Harry Potter’s Glasses
The lead icon of the notable fantasy saga Harry Potter was definitely attached to his character. Daniel claimed in 2011 that he took home two pairs of Harry Potter’s glasses from the film’s set. In an interview with Daily Mail, he said, “The ones from the first film are absolutely tiny now, but they are very sweet. They are all lens-less as well. There was rarely ever any glass in the actual glasses because of filming problems with reflections.”
Ben Affleck: Batman’s Batarang
Ben Affleck who was one of the many stars to step in the shoes of the Caped Crusader, took home one of his character’s pocket weapons, the Batarang. Affleck was however caught in the act by the studio’s crew. Affleck said “I straight up stole a Batarang. I put it in my pocket, thinking I had earned it. The props guy came to get it and I said no. I thought I had a kind of ‘movie star pass’ for that kind of thing.”
Sir Ian McKellen: Keys & Coins
The star of blockbuster Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit movies who played the role of Gandalf admitted he couldn’t help swiping a little souvenir from his times spent on his film’s set. The 76-year-old actor claimed to have taken home some one-of-a-kind golden coins which were used to adorn fire-breathing dragon Smaug’s metallic lair. He even took home the key of Hobbit character Bilbo Baggins after the shoots of the trilogy wrapped up.
Dakota Johnson: Underwears!
Dakota Johnson confessed to laying hands on a few items from theFifty Shades of Greyset. “I stole lots of the underwear, they were comfortable” she confessed in an interview about taking home her character’s HANRO underwear. She also claimed in a Twitter Q&A with Glamour to have sneaked a rather racier item: “I do have a flogger in my house (it’s in the garage with dust).”
